People behind Moment
-
Lisa Novel
Co-founder - Moment
She discovered ceramics in 2013, and it instantly felt like a revelation. Almost immediately, she noticed how deeply it impacted her: it brought calm to her mind and offered a sense of grounding that she wasn’t expected.
She continued to learn and grow through hands-on practices with professional ceramists. This led her to open in 2019 a ceramic studio in Geneva —a welcoming space where people could reconnect with their creativity through working with clay.
Supporting her students in discovering their creative potential has deeply enriched her own journey.
Recent changes in her personal life led her to refocus on her own artistic path. She went on to create Studio Novel, a project that allows her to rethink her ceramic practice through sustainable innovation.
With Moment, she wants to bring the benefits of creativity into everyday life through intuitive, mindful experiences that can be explored from the comfort of your home.

Eva Hjelm
Co-founder - Moment
With a background in psychology, she brings a deep sensitivity to the heart of Moment. She has always found comfort in keeping her hands busy—and pottery was no exception. What started as a Monday evening class quickly became a grounding ritual, especially during life’s more challenging times. Through the quiet rhythm of making, she found balance, presence, and a deeper connection to herself. So, she decided to follow that path and joined Lisa in the ceramic studio, where she led workshops for students and deepened her own artistic practice.
Guided by both personal experience and scientific curiosity, she explored the growing research on creativity’s impact on mental health, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
While working alongside Lisa in the ceramic studio, the vision became clear. Together, they dreamed of a brand that would go beyond pottery—bringing together passionate creators to help everyone find their own creative Moment.
